Though intended to train troublesome dogs from a local shelter, the newly instated dog program at the SPETA Correctional Facility in Nelsonville, Ohio, has given residents a new "leash" on life. The facility is a CBCF (Community-Based Correctional Facility) and has security looser than that of a prison and tighter than a halfway house. Within the facility, the dog program is teaching dogs and owners alike how to correct troublesome behaviors so they both can soon go home.
